I’m feeling a bit run into the ground, today. Its been a very trying two days at work and I won’t see another day off until Wednesday. I am, however, looking forward to band practice and hopefully some distracting time with friends next week. Getting started on the LP recording must happen soon too, but, to be honest, its a frightening task to burrow as far inside of myself as that will require. I will bite the bullet this week and start with step one: recording acoustic guitar for each track. Hopefully I can continue to write and Mark and I can find some time to collaborate soon as well.

I wrote much more today, but I felt it unflattering..even for a blog.

I took some pictures of my ‘Recording Schedule’, which amounts to a giant grid drawn on a whiteboard. The X axis lists different instruments to be recorded per track, and the Y axis holds the song titles. There are 15 songs to be recorded right now. I’ll make a list for now (probably for the benefit of no one but my brother over at 16th Street), but I’ll post pictures later. My dear mother keeps forgetting to bring home the docking station for my camera’s memory card.

Songs To Be Recorded For The Zach Farrow Solo Record:

Little Knives

A Lover’s Lie

Sad Like Stone

Overall

Widowsilk

God and the Devil

Lie All Over Town

The Golden Ropes

The Clearing

Brilliant Moon

Sweating Through the Sheets

Father-Daughter

Carolina

Pretty White Light

Saline

…and anything else I write and deem worthy during the recording process.

Time for bed though (yes, at 8pm!) – I have to physically and mentally prepare myself for the next week of work. 5 days opening (at work by 4:15am) and 1 close (at home by 11pm). Disgusting.

Goodnight, my tiny readership!
